The Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association was recently referenced in an article posted to the blog, Urban Current, a blog that serves communities & professionals in the United States and Europe to help them develop solutions in urban and regional policy. A reference to Rocky Ridge is even featured in the article title: “Makers, Millennials and Maple Syrup: The Future of Youngstown, Ohio.”
The Rocky Ridge Neighbors were praised for their Maple Syrup efforts as well as a win at the community micro-granting dinner, Youngstown SOUP, in July-the funds from which will be going toward another community fundraising project.
Way to go, Rocky Ridge Neighbors!

Last month, Rocky Ridge awarded the 2014 Volney Rogers Emerald Pierogi Award to Cindy Shakley! This is our neighborhood’s way of celebrating outstanding home beautification. The runners up this year were: George and Mary Senedak, Mike and Mary Louise Romeo and Amanda Taylor. Congratulations all around!
